Non Residents Tax – Modelo 210
If you own a property in Spain and you
are not a resident, you are legally obliged to declare the ownership of your
property in the tax area where the property is situated.
Previous to 2008, the tax paid was a
Wealth (Patrimonia) and Income (Renta) Tax completed on the form called Modelo
214. Since the Wealth Tax has been suspended, the current tax you are liable for
is called Renta - Impuesto de la renta de no residentes. Each owner of the
property must complete an individual return on form Modelo 210.
With specialist experience in this area,
we offer independent advice on paying these taxes at the extremely competitive
rate of 35 euros (per form).
Failure to declare this tax annually to
the Spanish authorities results in an accumulation of back taxes along with
penalty and interest payments.
The Tax Office (Hacienda) is becoming more
vigilant and stricter towards those who do not declare and those who do not
declare on-time, therefore it is advisable to have all taxes up-to-date. We offer special rates for those
wishing to settle back taxes both on the Modelo 214 and Modelo 210.
We also offer a FREE TAX CALCULATION service
should you wish to have an idea of what your tax liability is likely to be.
